Here is our third story in our weekly series “Canvas Unwrapped”

God had it all planned! When I finally realized that no matter how hard I tried my plans just weren’t working out and God had better things in store for me was when I met my husband Rob. A few years after college I decided to move from VA to San Diego with some friends and enjoy sunny California. I became friends with an awesome girl, Julie, that was from VA as well. A year passed and her brother Rob moved to San Diego and that was it, he was just what I needed! He swept me off my feet with a gondola ride around the Coronado waterways as our first date! We shared many perfect nights hanging out at ‘the ranch’ with his sister and cousin in Pacific Beach. Keane was always playing on his radio when he’d pick me up for dates. We loved just sitting and watching the Pacific Ocean together. We fell in love in San Diego! Our family is very important to us so we decided to move back east to Charlotte, NC together to be closer to family and fall into the roles of Aunt Ninny and Uncle Rob! Rob wanted to make sure I was surprised when he proposed so asking in a fortune cookie on his birthday definitely worked, best surprise ever! October was a big month for us – closing on a house, getting engaged, and getting our puggle, Wrigley. The following August we got married and had never felt so excited and so right about anything. We’ve loved building our life together, growing our faith and realizing God’s plan and timing was perfect. We’ve discovered there were multiple opportunities for our paths to cross when we were both in VA, we were meant to be!, but those times just weren’t right. I can’t wait for us to make more memories and grow old with each other! This was one of our favorite wedding day pictures because this quiet moment we shared was utter peacefulness! I just had to get this as a surprise anniversary gift when I saw Stephanie’s site. I know just looking at it will bring us back to that peaceful moment!
