Having a bit of an unexpected emotional day this week.…. my daughter started pre-school.

I was all about “WHOO – all the kids are at school Monday!!”

But today  …she looked so big …..putting on her lip gloss , picking out her ring and putting on her new shoes and school clothes …  she didn’t want me to brush her hair …SHE wanted to do it herself.

When did my baby grow up?

So weird for us moms, with daughters …. we see ourselves in them , which is SO lovely and SO scary at the same time ….. wearing our hearts out on our sleeve every time they gain a bit more of independence …..

Beautiful and bittersweet … I a looking forward to being able to have some child-free time to work -
